A special thanks to the owners and staff of Hamburgerseria for hosting our Rockdale families tonight for our first PTO Food Fundraiser event of the 22-23 school year. Thank you Rockdale Ram Nation for showing your support by either dining in or carrying out. It was RAMtastic to connect with so many families enjoying the breakfast burger to the loaded french fries to the chicken strips to one adventurous parent who tried the peanut butter burger!! Fun and great food was had by all!! Thanks Mrs. Vangelisti for organizing our evening at Hamburgerseria, Mrs. Slabaugh for attending with your family and parents, and Ms. Kirk for bringing your dad by to get the country burger. Good evening Rockdale Ram Nation. Last Friday, August 19th, Miss Nordstrom and her 2nd Grade class took to the blacktop for a math review activity. What a fun way to review math by enjoying the beautiful weather, exploring the Rockdale School property, and working on math fluency and fact practice all at the same time. This is to serve as a reminder of our first Rockdale PTO meeting of the 22-23 being held in person, along with a Google Meet option if you are unable to make it in person, in the Rockdale cafeteria on Tuesday, August 23rd at 3:45 pm. Please enter through the front school doors, Door A. Future PTO meetings will be held on the first Tuesday of the month. Should you not be able to attend in person, I will share the link out on Tuesday morning to attend virtually. The focus of our first meeting will be to discuss our upcoming PTO Movie Night on September 16th, the first 2-3 months of Restaurant Fundraisers, and to tentatively plan the PTO Fall Fun Night in October. Good evening Rockdale Ram Nation! Today was a busy day at Rockdale School! Our students rotated between three parts of the building to learn about expected behaviors and how to show their Rockdale PRIDE throughout the school. Tomorrow, Friday, August 19th, our Rams will finish the final three rotations as part of our PBIS Kickoff 2022 event. It started yesterday with an all school assembly to learn about Rockdale PRIDE and what it means when you see or say #VIBECHECK! PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports which focuses on creating learning environments that support positive behavior and social interactions. A special thank you to Ms. Willis, Ms. Kirk, Mrs. Lorenc, Mrs. Vallera, Mr. Whalen, Ms. Mahoney, Ms. Walls, Mrs. Kelch, Mr. Mooney for facilitating speaking to our Rams in those various parts of the building! This has been a RAMtastic start to the 22-23 school year! ¡Buenas noches, nación Rockdale Ram! ¡Hoy fue un día ocupado en la Escuela Rockdale! Nuestros estudiantes rotaron entre tres partes del edificio para aprender sobre los comportamientos esperados y cómo mostrar su ORGULLO Rockdale en toda la escuela. I am beyond excited to announce that we are celebrating TWO (2) WINS tonight, one for our Lady Rams Softball team who played an away game against Laraway and won 17-10, while our Boys Baseball team also played an away game against Laraway and dominated 12-1!! We will #flytheW flag in the front hallway opposite of the main office and the Rockdale Ram Victory light is lit on the west side of the building!! Way to go Lady Rams and Boys Baseball teams on your well deserved, hard fought victories! This is an amazing way to start a Friday!! #VIBECHECK #letsgo ¡Buenas noches, nación Rockdale Ram! Many smiles on our Rams’ faces as they returned back to “school mode.” Especially as documented by the pictures taken from Mr. Olson’s Middle School Science classes today! Good afternoon Rockdale Ram Nation. This is to serve as a reminder for Arrival and Dismissal procedures for the 22-23 school year starting today, Wednesday, August 17th via Teacherease. As a reminder, ARRIVAL and parent drop-off is in the front of the building and doors open at 8:20 am and students should be behind the pillars. Students will not be allowed into the building prior to 8:20 am. Parents should remain in their car and a Rockdale staff member will assist students out of the car. DISMISSAL is changed due to student safety. Please read the attached document. Thanks for your time and consideration. Although we might have lost 13-12 in a nail biter, our Lady Rams turned their 3rd double play in only their 2nd game of the young season! Way to go Lady Rams. Good evening Rockdale Ram Nation.  This is to serve as a follow up to my morning Teacherease and Apptegy communication regarding our Rockdale Students and Family Spirit online store that went “live” today.  I have had a couple questions regarding sizing, so I wanted to provide this as you choose sizes for our Rams!  The material is similar to the Gildan brand. Sizes are as follows: Youth Medium is a 7-8 Youth Large is a 10-12 Youth XL is a 14-16 Thanks again for your support and partnership as we provide our Rams with Spirit gear for our Rockdale Spirit Fridays!  See you tomorrow, Tuesday, August 16th from 2-3 pm for our Meet the Teacher/School Supply Drop off event.  Buenas noches Nación Rockdale Ram.
